Join us for seasonal rhymes and songs on Tuesday 19 and Thursday 21 December at 11.00am.

Christmas and New Year opening hours

The library will be closed on Monday 25 December, Tuesday 26 December and Monday 1 January 2018 for the Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day bank holidays.

  • Friday 19 January at 12.00-1.00pm, Creative Colouring. Adult colouring for mindfulness and relaxation. Materials provided free of charge, but donations welcome. Please book in advance
  • Saturday 20 January at 11.00-11.30am, Family Storytime. A storytime for all the family, and an opportunity to find out what we have to offer families

Tuesday

  • French Conversation - 6.00-6.45pm - alternate Tuesdays. All welcome, just drop in. Free, refreshments available. Next dates are 19 December, and 9 and 23 January 2018
  • LEGO Club - 4.00-5.00pm - monthly. Meets on second Tuesday of each month. Free and open to all primary school age children, accompanied by an adult
  • Under 5s Rhymetime - 11.00-11.30am - weekly. Children must be accompanied by an adult

Wednesday

  • Learn my Way computer course for total beginners - morning sessions, by appointment only. Please contact the library for details and to book

Thursday

  • IT Buddy - 2.00-4.00pm - weekly. Offering internet and word processing help for complete beginners. Please contact the library to book a slot or for more details
  • Itea and Chat - 2.30-4.30pm - monthly on first Thursday of the month. Bring your own laptop/tablet/smartphone along for some friendly advice at our drop-in sessions. Free, but donations welcome for refreshments. Please note, next date is 11 January 2018
  • Learn my Way computer course for total beginners - weekly. Morning and afternoon sessions available by appointment only. Please contact the library for details or to book
  • Under 5s Rhymetime - 11.00-11.30am - weekly. Children must be accompanied by an adult

Friday

  • Community coffee morning - 9.15am-12.00 noon - weekly. £1.50 for tea/coffee and a biscuit. Community hosts in January include LATH (Looking after the homeless), IT help, the Children's Centre, and End of Life Partnership
  • Under 5s Storytime - 11.00-11.30am - weekly. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer

There will be someone from the Cheshire Neighbours credit union on hand on Saturdays between 10.00am and 12.00 noon.

Citizens Advice Bureau

The Cheshire East Citizens Advice Bureau now have an office on the first floor of the library. Drop-in sessions are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 12.30pm. No appointment necessary. Advice line is 03444 111 444.

Jobcentre Plus

Jobcentre Plus staff will be on site to provide help with digital job search and online claims. Appointments only on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9.00-12.00 noon and 1.00-5.00pm. Please telephone 01270 538 155 to make an appointment.

There will be a drop-in surgery in the library on Friday 22 December at 2.00-4.00pm.
