What's new?

Animal Agents summer reading challenge

We have lots of special events over the summer to encourage children to complete the reading challenge:

Summer crafts

On Thursday 17 August at 2.30-3.30pm enjoy summer craft activities. £2.00 per child; please book in advance. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Animal antics

On Friday 18 August stroke a skunk, hold a snake, cuddle a meerkat and more. Sessions at 1.15pm and 1.55pm. £3.50 per child; booking essential. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Hearing dogs for deaf people

On Monday 21 August at 2.00pm meet a Hearing Dog and its socialiser, and learn how the dogs help people with hearing problems. Free, but please book as places are limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Interactive LED art

On Thursday 24 August learn how to create interactive bitmap art that responds to movement and button presses using Micro:bit LED displays. Suitable for children aged 7 years and over. Hourly sessions between 10.00am and 3.30pm. Free, but please book as places are limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Animal Agents colouring

On Tuesday 29 August enjoy summer reading challenge themed colouring. Drop in between 10.00am and 4.00pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

IT buddy

New to computers? Alsager Library offers the help of an IT Buddy. Please contact the library for further details and to book a 1-hour slot.

  • Fifty Shades of Colour - 2.30-4.00pm - weekly. Adult colouring club. 50p, including refreshments
  • Rhymetime for pre-schoolers - 10.00-10.30am - weekly. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer. Rhymetime refreshments served at 10.30am


  • Adult Short Story Group - 11.00am - 12.00 noon - meets on first Tuesday of the month. Free
  • Ancestry workshop - call for an appointment - £3.00 for 1-hour session using this online family history resource
  • LEGO Club - 3.30pm - 4.30pm - Free. Monthly on third Tuesday



  • Alsager Memory Cafe - 10.30am-12.30pm - monthly on last Friday of each month. Next date is 25 August
  • Little Bookworms - 10.00am - 10.30am - weekly. Stories and music
  • Rhymetime for ages 0-18 months - 2.00-2.30pm - weekly, term time only. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer. Rhymetime will resume on Friday 28 September with the start of the new school year
