A walk of about 6km (4 miles) taking a look at the natural, and not so natural, history of the Lindow area.

Introduction to Climbing

A chance to experience the thrills of climbing in this introductory session in partnership with Moorland Adventure and the Rangers. There is a charge of £8 for this activity. BOOKING ESSENTIAL.

A Walk Along The Wildlife Corridor

A 5km (3-4 mile) easy walk along the footpaths of the Bollin Valley and Middlewood Way looking at the wildlife that use these green spaces.

Wheelock Rail Trail Evening Stroll

Join the local Ranger for a gentle evening stroll along the Wheelock Rail Trail and around the local area. This will be a fairly easy walk at a gentle pace. Bring binoculars if you have them and we’ll see what plants and animals we can see along the way.  BOOKING ESSENTIAL.

Romany Open Day

Better known as Romany to his many "Children's Hour" listeners in the 1930s and 1940s, the Reverend George Bramwell Evens was the first media naturalist to fire the imagination of a generation. These open days are your chance to visit his caravan and learn a little more about his life and times, with the help of the Rangers and members of the Romany Society, through storytelling and displays. The caravan is situated in the Romany Memorial Gardens, South Drive, Wilmslow.

Call in between 12pm and 3.00pm on the following dates: Saturday 10 July, Saturday 14 August, Saturday 11 September.

Looking after Tegg’s Nose Country Park

If you've ever visited Teggs and wondered about any aspect of our work, from heathland management and cattle to litter bins and poop scoops this moderate walk around the site should provide the answers and enhance your enjoyment of this special place.

Wednesday Walk

By popular demand the Shutlingsloe walk is back. A new 8-9km (5.5 mile) walk which meanders along the pathways and lanes of Macclesfield forest and Wildboarclough winding up to the summit of Shutlingsloe.

A leisurely stroll around Astbury Mere Country Park looking at the history, landscape and wildlife of this unique community owned green-space on the outskirts of Congleton.

Middlewood Way Open Day

This friendly country fair has something for everyone, you and old alike and entry is free although parking is £2.

We have many great attractions for 2010. There's entertainment on the stage throughout the day, craft demonstrations, campfour outdoor clothing and equipment stall, plants and herbs for sale, circus skills, a challenging climbing wall and the amazing birds of prey display.

Bridgend Centre walk

Join the Rangers for a circular walk from the Bollington Bridgend Centre.  Each walk is planned in association with the Bridgend Centre and the Bollington Health Centre.  Refreshments are provided at the end of the walk.  The routes take in points of interest relating to the varied wildlife and history of the area.

Over 400 species of moth live at Jacksons’ Brickworks! Come along and find out just how beautiful they can be, in the company of moth enthusiast Steve Hind. Unsuitable for younger children due to use of mercury vapour lamp. Bring a torch.
