Congleton
Under a charter granted to the town in 1272 by Earl of Lincoln,
Henry de Lacy, Congleton Market was founded as a weekly market.
Now, Congleton Market is managed by City Markets and operates every
Tuesday and Saturday with elevent indoor stalls and eighty four
outdoor stalls.

Crewe
Crewe market is a statutory market, established
by the Crewe Local Board. It is believed to have been operating
since 1848 when a cheese and cattle market was formed in Coppenhall
terrace, eventually becoming known as 'Market Square'. The present
market hall was built in 1854 and purchased by the Council in
1869.

Knutsford
While the original markets in Knutsford can be
traced back to a Charter issued from King Edward 1 in 1292, the
current general retail market in Silk Mill Street was opened in
1950. The Market Hall is open from 08.30am with seventeen
individual stalls on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Macclesfield
The Indoor Market was established in Macclesfield
within the Grosvenor Shopping Centre in August 1970. At that time,
long established traders on the traditional outdoor market were
given the first opportunity of having stalls at the new
location.
Today, almost forty years later, the fifty stalls within the
Indoor Market Hall provide a vibrant shopping opportunity from 9am
six days per week, complemented by a further twenty five stalls at
the Outdoor Market held in the surrounding streets on Tuesdays,
Fridays and Saturdays.

Middlewich
Established in June 1985, Middlewich Market is run every Tuesday
on Southway Car Park. It provides up to fifteen pitches for traders
who bring their own stalls.
Nantwich
It is believed that a market existed in Nantwich as early as the
eleventh century. The present market hall was built in 1867 with
market trading taking place from both the hall and an outdoor
market.

A Royal Charter was granted to the town’s market in 1579 by
Queen Elizabeth I. An indoor and outdoor market is now held every

Games to add to the festive atmosphere.
