Astbury Mere Country Park

Astbury Mere Country Park occupies the site of a former sand quarry. The site encompasses 14ha of open space, just ten minutes walk from the town centre, with paths linking into the local countryside. The park has panoramic views over Astbury Mere and offers a visitor centre, 2km (1.2 miles) of all weather paths, an easy access trail, educational services and an orienteering course.

Astbury Mere Country Park is owned by Astbury Mere Trust and managed on their behalf by Cheshire East Ranger Service.

Facilities

The Visitor Centre is open daily from 9.00am - 5.00pm and has displays on the park and local information on green issues.

Astbury Mere is within easy walking distance of Congleton town centre. It is signposted off Sandy Lane, off the A34.
