Queen's Park Renovation Project
Crewe's Queen's Park is
undergoing a £6.5 million transformation to bring her back to her
former glory, this includes a support grant from the Heritage
Lottery Fund valued at £2.775 million, with the remaining
investment from Cheshire East Council.

Restoration of the
lakes and perimeter walls (involved dredging and major earth
moving)
- Islands replanted
- Major drainage repair and replacement
- Traffic calming and crossing
- New disabled parking spaces at Tip Kinder
- Lake materials used to support boundary wall on Victoria
Avenue
- 5 major bridges replaced (some hand rails to be completed)
- New main pavilion and The Pickle Jar café
- New bowls pavilion
- East and West lodges restored
- Boer War Memorial restored
- Bandstand restored
- Clock tower restored
- 2 shelters restored (play area and Monkey Hut)
- New play area designed in conjunction with Sir William Stanier
School
- Main paths rebuilt
- Entire perimeter railings replaced
- New gateways installed
- Restoration of the historic 'Kempian' Landscape
- New outdoor multi-gym

- Restoration of remaining paths to the rear of the lake
