What's New
Space Hop - the summer reading challenge at
Poynton Library
Space Crafts
Come along on Thursday 29th July for a special craft session for
children aged 4-8 years. Drop in any time between 10am and 12 noon.
This is a free event, but donations are welcome.
Cartoon Workshop
On Monday 2nd August at 10.30-11.30am join cartoonist Paula Wilcox
and create cartoons of spacemen, aliens and all things space
related, with line by line instruction. Please book in advance as
places are limited. Tickets cost £2.50 from the library.
Dance Storytime
Come along to our special storytime on Thursday 12th August at
2.30-3.30pm. Cheshire Dance will lead you in creating a dance
inspired by a space related story. Suitable for ages 5-10 years.
Please book in advance. Tickets cost £2.50 from the library.
Silver Surfers
On Friday 20th August between 10am and 1pm Age Concern are running
1-hour basic computer sessions for adults. Please book a slot in
advance as places are limited. Sessions cost £5.00.
Messy Play
On Friday 27th August drop in any time between 10am and 12 noon for
our special play session. Children aged 0-8 years welcome. This is
a free event.
Computer Buddy Sessions
Sessions with a
computer buddy are available on Thursday mornings during term time.
These are for any person who has little or no computer knowledge
and who would like assistance in using a computer for email, the
internet or word processing. Booking is essential. For further
information and to book a session please contact the library.

Directions
Poynton Library is situated in
the centre of Poynton. It is located in the central car park off
Park Lane and is adjacent to the Civic Hall and opposite the
Clinic.
Public Transport
Poynton Railway Station
is one mile from the Library. The bus stops are a five minute walk
from the Library.
Parking
Parking is free in the large
central car park.
Disabled Parking
There are 2 spaces near
the front of the Library and a further 3 spaces adjacent to the
Civic Hall.
