Brown, Canal Engineer of DisleyOn Friday 24th May, Barbara Sellers of Disley Local History Society presents a talk about local canal engineer, Thomas Brown. Come along at 2.00pm and celebrate Adult Learners' Week at this free event.
On Wednesday 5th June children can Make their own Family Tree in our special craft event at 2.00-3.00pm. Make a family tree to take away and help to decorate Disley's tree, too. Suitable for accompanied children aged up to 10 years. Tickets cost £2.00 per child or £5.00 for a family of three children. Please book in advance as places are limited.
Help us to celebrate! Come and meet the big blue Mr Bookstart Bear at our special Rhymetime on Tuesday 18th June at 10.30am. All babies and toddlers welcome with parents/carers.
Are you confident using a computer, surfing the net or emailing? Do you have a flare for sharing your knowledge and could you spare an hour or two each week to help others learn new IT skills? If so, we are looking for volunteers to become IT Buddies.

Research - made easierWould you like to trace your family tree? Ancestry is an online resource that can help you to do this. We are running sessions on how to use Ancestry, so if you are interested in learning more please leave your name and contact number with the library staff. Sessions cost £2.00.
Would you like to learn basic computer skills with the help of an IT Buddy? If so, please contact the library to book a two hour session for £2.00.
