What's New
Active Play Event
Join us on Monday 13th February for a special active play event
with our friends from the Leisure & Play Development team at
10.00-11.00am. Suitable for children aged 5-10 years. Tickets cost
£2.00 or £5.00 for a family ticket
Wi-Fi Access
We now provide wi-fi access in the library. Access is free to
customers of BT Openreach or you can pay online with a card or
vouchers can be purchased from the library at £5.99 for 90 minutes
usage. Please contact us for further details.
Fancy a cuppa?
We now have a hot drinks machine in the library serving freshly
brewed coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Drinks are £1
per cup, with latte or cappuccino costing £1.20. This is something
that library users have requested and a service that we are
now pleased to provide.
Homework Help
Homework help is always available, but we have 'Homework Club'
every weekday after school or anytime Saturday morning.
Get help from a librarian and use library facilities to help with
your homework. Free and no need to book.
Reading Groups
Please ask at the Enquiry Desk for information about reading
groups meeting in Crewe Library.
English Conversation Club
Come along and practice English conversation in a friendly
informal setting. Beginners from 2-3pm every Tuesday and Improvers
from 6-7pm every Tuesday. There is no age restriction and no
charge. If you would like more information, please contact Oksana
or Angus on 01270 375295.
We also hold a collection of foreign books, with a small number of
French, German, Italian and Spanish and a large collection of
Polish fiction for children and adults, and a collection of
children's books in Bengali.

6-7pm for improvers.

- Under 5s dancetime - 10.00 -10.30am - first in month. Children
must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
- Under 5s stories and rhymes - 10.00-10.30 - weekly. Children
must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
Friday
- Under 5s rhymetime - 11.00-11.30 - weekly. Children must be
accompanied by a parent or carer.
Other Organisations in this Library
Family History Society
The Society is now based in a room at Crewe Library. Opening
hours are Monday and Tuesday 10.00am - 4.00pm and alternate
Saturdays at 10.00am - 12.30pm.
Please note, the Family History room is
currently closed for Christmas and stock-taking until Monday 9th
January 2012.

Directions
Crewe Library is on the edge of the town centre, opposite the
Municipal Building. It is in the civic complex, next to the Court
and the Police Station.
Public Transport
Bus Station is in the centre of town, about 5 minutes walk away.
Train Station is 25 minutes walk away.
Parking
Car Park underneath Library costs £2.50 per day. Pay and Display
car parks available nearby opposite Christ Church and in
Cumberland Street, 5 minutes walk away.
Disabled Parking
Designated spaces area available in Prince Albert Street
opposite the library.
