On Display at Alsager Library
Mere Embroidery
Three beautifully worked embroidery panels of the Alsager Mere
were presented to Alsager Town Council by the Alsager &
District Embroiderer's Guild, funded by Community Champions and is
now displayed in the library.
Misses Alsager
Portrait miniatures are displayed of two of the three sisters of
the Lord of the Manor, Judith, Margaret and Mary, whose family
name was Alsager.
Crewe
Hall
The library has an interesting display of images of the interior
of Crewe Hall.
Goss
Vase
Margaret Bebbington has donated a rare and unusual Goss vase,
plus two other pieces, to the people of Alsager, in honour of her
brother Professor Frederick Anthony Holland, born in Alsager 28th
May 1926.
