Words and Memories Cassettes

Words and Memories tapes feature older people talking about their memories along with poems and extracts from books. The tapes have been produced as part of the Fully Booked project, involving older people at day centres and community support centres.

Service-users took part in reading and discussion sessions, listening to poetry and readings from books. Their responses and memories have been captured for posterity, and make fascinating listening, along with the extracts, poems and sounds from the BBC Archives.

The tapes were produced by Angela Heslop of BBC Radio Merseyside. Words and Memories is available to borrow free of charge from all Cheshire Libraries.
