These courses are organised with one teacher in the pool and one on poolside, and are aimed at helping the adult enourage the tot in water confidence and to take the first steps towards learning to swim and gain badges as they progress.

This new addition to our timetable is for pre-school children aged over 3. The ASA Duckling awards are designed to help toddlers enjoy learning to swim with the help of parents or guardians who are in the pool with them.

From the school term in which child turns 5 - lessons run in half hour sessions on 12 - 13 week courses. Our courses follow the Amateur Swimming Association National Plan for Teaching Swimming, and take place during the following times:

Due to demand, it is advised to put names down on the waiting list well in advance of the child becoming eligible.
Children work towards Royal Life Saving Society Rookie Awards, and have normally completed ASA Stage 6 or 7.

Suitable for children who have completed Level 7, these lessons run on Friday evenings between 5.30pm and at 6.00pm.
