The Outdoor Pool is now closed for the summer
Nantwich Brine Pool is one of a few remaining inland brine pools
left in Britain today and the largest swimming pool in the area. It
remains highly popular with swimmers, who enjoy the unique nature
of swimming outdoors during the summer months.

Outdoor Heated Brine Pool
Please be aware that the pool has a policy on admissions of
children into the pool. This policy is in line with national
guidelines and based on the outcome of a thorough risk
Young children can drown very quickly, if a parent is
distracted by a second child, a fatal accident can occur within

Nantwich Brine Pool has a selection of chairs, tables and sun
loungers available for the public to use free of charge. Users can
bring their own fold up deck chair to use on site, but the centre
can take no responsibility in the event of loss or damage. Toilets
and Showers are provided on poolside for all users with additional
facilities within the building.
In regards to food and beverages, the centre has three vending
machines selling a select of snacks, cold drinks and hot drinks.
Customers can bring their own items in if they wish, however the
centre can not permit the use of glass bottles. Alcohol is also
banned from the premises.
Nantwich Swimming Pool including areas around the outdoor pool
are all non smoking areas.

Hot Weather Policy
During very hot weather the outdoor pool
very quickly becomes full. Once the maximum bather load is reached
the pool will operate a one out one in policy for admissions whilst
the pool remains at maximum capacity. Wherever possible we will
alert customers via Facebook and Twitter when the pool is
During most public lane swimming sessions, people who want to
swim lengths of the pool uninterrupted can ask a lifeguard to
provide swimming lanes.
About Nantwich Brine Pool
outdoor pool first opened to the public on the 1st July 1935 and
the pool water temperature is now maintained at 74°F and through
solar gain is usually much warmer. Some of our older customers
still reminisce about their school days at the pool, when they
claim the water was only just above freezing point and they happily
swam in it!
