Holmes Chapel Leisure Centre Policies
Our Environment Policies
We are as passionate about treating
our environment with as much respect as we treat our customers.
Therefore, alongside customer service and facility standards, we
also have a document which details how we look after our
environment. This outlines the number of ways in which we recycle
materials, limit electricity and gas wastage, utilise emails where
possible and so on. This document is displayed in various main
areas of the Centre but it can also be found by clicking on the
link below:
And, for those who are interested,
the link below outlines the energy efficiency of our main
Sportshall for you to measure just how well we are doing. This is a
result we are very proud of:
Our Standards Policies
Facility Standards
We want your visit to us to be
pleasurable and we recognise that it isn't just the service you
experience (although this is important), it is also the standard in
which you find our facilities. Therefore, Holmes Chapel Leisure
Centre has put together a set of standardised benchmarks by which
we expect our staff to achieve. These can be found printed and
displayed in all main areas of the centre or by clicking on
the link below:
Customer Service Standards
Just the way in which you are
greeted with a smile can really affect how you feel about
utilising the facilities of anywhere you choose to visit. We
recognise this. Therefore, along with facility standards, all of
our staff are also briefed in how to deal with customers- comments,
complaints, compliments - whatever situation they are presented
with. Details of these standards are displayed in the reception
area of the Centre, or can be found by clicking the link
below:
If you don't feel we are working alongside either of the
standards documents above, please feel free to contact us where we
can act upon your comments and views.
Youth Health and Wellbeing
Being attached to a comprehensive school means that we have a
large number of young members of the Fitness Suite, therefore, we
make sure we are continually up to date with the latest youth
health initiatives. Here are some examples of policies we take an
active role in promoting:
The National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) is one part of
the programme of work to implement the Healthy Weight, Healthy
Lives strategy, and is overseen by the Cross-Government Obesity
Unit. As part of the programme children in Reception Year (ages
four and five) and Year 6 (ages 10 and 11) are weighed and measured
at school. The information is then used to help the NHS plan and
provide better health services for children. It aims to help local
areas to understand the prevalence of child obesity in their area,
and help inform local planning and delivery of services for
children; we are involved with this and place emphasis on it within
our school holiday playschemes:
