Swim Free Update

Following on from the recent government announcement regarding the withdrawl of the Swim Free scheme from July 31 2010, Cheshire East Council can now confirm the following arrangements for the end of the scheme.

Registrations

New registrations to the scheme have now ended for all customers. Existing memberships will remain valid as below.

60 & Over Members

The Swim Free scheme for members aged 60 & over has now ended. On August 1, all prices reverted to normal published levels. Please ask a member of staff for the best priced option on your next visit.

16 & Under Members

Cheshire East Council has agreed to extend free swimming through the 2010 summer holidays for members aged 16 & over and therefore the scheme will continue until August 31. From September 1 all prices will revert to normal published levels.

Swim Free - Terms & Conditions (existing Swim Free members only)

These terms & conditions are valid until 31/7/10.

1. Free swimming is available to customers aged 16 and under, new registrations have now ended.
2. The scheme is only offered to the named holder of the Swim Free card, the card is not transferrable.
3. You will need to bring your card with you on each visit to access swimming free of charge. Those attending without their card will be charged the normal full price for that activity
4. Cheshire East Council must be informed of any change of details to the named card holder.
5. The scheme is available at all pools within Cheshire East Council however a separate application may be required for facilities within each of the former district areas of Congleton, Crewe & Nantwich and Macclesfield.
6. The scheme is available during normal public swimming sessions as advertised by individual swimming pools. Free swimming is not available during instructional sessions, private hire sessions or fun sessions.
7. Admissions policies for those under 8 years of age apply at all Cheshire East Council swimming pools. These policies may vary according to local conditions at the pool. Please check with the individual facility before your visit.
8. Cheshire East Council reserves the right to withdraw or amend any of the above conditions at any time without notice.
9. Please keep your card safe as a £5 administration fee will be charged for any future replacement.
10. For security purposes, your photograph may be taken when your card is issued in order to identify you as the cardholder on subsequent visits.
