Housing Strategy
Our vision is that all our residents in Cheshire
East are able to access affordable, appropriate and
decent accommodation.
We have adopted the Cheshire
sub-regional Housing Strategy (PDF, 7.6MB) and have agreed
a
Strategy Action Plan (PDF, 456KB) of how we will
achieve our aims.
Cheshire East Housing Strategy "Moving forward" 2011-2016
The Strategic Housing Services are pleased to
introduce the first Cheshire East Housing Strategy, ‟Moving
forward‟ 2011 - 2016 which sets out our long term housing vision
for the borough. The strategy has been developed at a time of
significant change within the housing sector, with a move towards
localism and the flexibility to make local decisions. These changes
bring with them great opportunities for the authority to address
housing at a local level, in order to create balanced and
sustainable communities across Cheshire East.
Moving Forward sets out our five key priorities
for delivering a balanced housing market that meets the varied
needs of our residents: This Strategy draws together the ideas and
expertise from a range of partners, and we are grateful for their
contributions.
Equality and Diversity
The Strategic Housing Team have completed an Equality and
Diversity Impact Assessment on the strategy to continue its
committment to achieving equality for all customers. The assessment
aims to address any inequalities in the way services are promoted,
delivered, monitored and reviewed.
