Site office location for Sydney Road Bridge

Planning Application

The scheme planning application in July 2017 (17/1980N) included the proposal to use the Scottish Power (SPEN) substation compound close to the north end of the bridge.

Unfortunately, although it had been agreed in principle with SPEN to use their land for a site compound they subsequently withdrew that consent as it transpired they need the area for their own use.

We have consequently had to identify a suitable alternative compound area on the north west side of the railway line close to the bridge.

Our land team have identified a pocket of Council owned land on Lime Tree Avenue (PDF, 61KB) and a planning application (18/0016N) to use this land for the site compound will be made at the end of December.
