Crewe – Highway improvements
We are carrying out highway improvement works at several locations in Crewe, including:
- Nantwich Road
- Mill Street
- Earle Street (East and West)
- Vernon Way
- Delamere Street
- West Street
These works are to introduce measures to improve safety and facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.
Some of the works are part of the Safer Roads Funds which is for road safety improvement schemes to reduce the number and severity of fatal and serious injury collisions on the 50 highest risk road sections in England. The level of risk is based on the Road Safety Foundation's analysis and report on road safety nationally.
Please note that we occasionally may have to change our works at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions or logistics.
