Carers Grant Funding 2009 - 2010
Specific funding to support informal carers comes to the Local
Authority by the way of a special grant, the grant has been
extended to 2009.
Here in Cheshire we award the grant through a 'project
panel', which is a group of representatives from Community
Services, Health Services, Voluntary Organisations and
Carers.
Applications are welcome from any organisation, company or body,
including Community Services providers (formerly Social
Services).
Successful Projects will provide services to support informal
carers of Adults or Older people, either providing new services or
through filling a gap that has been identified.
The Carers Grant Panel meet each year in April to consider
applications. However, if you have a project you would like to be
considered after April, please use the contact details below for
advice on a possible application.
