Older people or people with a disability would often like to remain living in their own home. The Council provides a numbers of services in order to help in this.

Getting help for an elderly neighbour or parent

The links above give general information on the care provided by the Council. To actually make a request for help with the Council you should either ring our Access Service or request help using our electronic form.

Other services for people living at home

  • Community Meals Service - Hot or cold meals delivered to your home.
    Independent Living Fund - payments to help people with a long term disability to live independently
  • One Call Service (PDF, 163KB)- The One Call Service offers more choice and control over the services available for Older People from Social Care and Health.
