Governors' Forum: Summer 2026

Our next Governors’ Forum will take place on Tuesday 05 May 2026, 6:00pm - 8:00pm via MS Teams.

This is a FREE session, provided by the School Governance and Liaison Service and is therefore open to all school and academy governors/trustees.

With a focus on the proposed SEND Reforms, Iain Peel, our Director of Education, will talk through the headlines of the ‘Every Child Achieving and Thriving’ Schools White Paper.

In addition, given the public attention around banning smartphones in schools, Dan Price, Cheshire Police & Crime Commissioner will be joining us alongside Charlotte Ashton, co-founder of Generation Focus, to talk about their work on this issue and share some of the evidence in support of smartphone free schools.

The Governors' Forum  Agenda (PDF, 268KB) is now available.

Bookings can be made via GovernorHub (for subscribing schools) or by emailing the School Governance & Liaison Service at schoolgovernance@cheshireeast.gov.uk
