Renewable Energy Policy Study

The Establishment of a New Renewable Energy Policy Study was produced in 2010. The purpose of the study was:

  • To provide a summary of the strategies and policies driving renewable generation and carbon emission reductions.
  • To demonstrate that it is practically and economically viable to require developers to install renewable electricity generation of a capacity equivalent to saving 20% of the carbon emissions of new domestic and non-domestic buildings.
  • To explore the potential social and economic benefits of such policies.
