Research and Evidence
Research and evidence is very important to understand the key
issues and needs of Cheshire East, and to recognise the local
distinctions and characteristics. This enables the development of
planning policies to address the challenges and opportunities
present in the local area.
The planning system requires that Local
Plan documents are based on a sound, robust and credible
evidence base. A large body of research has been published or is
