Wilmslow Town Strategy
The Wilmslow Town Strategy looks at how the town might
develop in the future. It indicates where new employment, housing
and other uses may be located, along with how new infrastructure
might be prioritised.
An Advisory Stakeholder Panel, drawn from the Town Council,
businesses, organisations, community, environment, health,
education and resident groups worked hard to put together their
ideas on how they want to see Wilmslow develop over the
next 20 years and produced the draft Wilmslow Vision.
Consultation on the draft Wilmslow Vision took place between
1st April and 31st May 2012.
All comments received were considered by Wilmslow Town
Council and the document re-written accordingly as the
Wilmslow Town Strategy. This revised
document was approved at a meeting of Wilmslow Town
Council on 19th November 2012.
The Wilmslow Town Strategy now forms part of
the Cheshire East Local Plan
evidence base and will inform the development of the new Local
Plan. It may also be a material consideration in the
determination of planning applications.
