Landscape Architects provide a specialist Landscape Service to other Council Services, as well as participating in a wide range of corporate projects. The Landscape Architects’ roles are diverse and include:

Contribution to the development of the Authority’s Landscape Policy including:

• Green Infrastructure
• Urban Design Policy and Public Realm
• Landscape Character Assessment

Guidance

Advice and support for development management Landscape Planning Guidance including:

• Landscape Design Guidance
• Specialist input to planning applications
• Review of Landscape Conditions for approved applications 
• Minerals Planning
• Waste Planning

Design

Provision of a Landscape Design and Management service for:

• Regeneration Projects
• Highways
• Waste management
• Land reclamation
• Property management
