Planning
Welcome to the planning section of the
website. Planning can be a complex and daunting system to
navigate but here you will find lots of information and guidance
about planning with the aim of helping you understand the planning
system and what planning in Cheshire East means for you.
You will be able to look at planning applications
online, find out how to comment on planning applications, find
information on applying for planning permission, find information
on Building Regulations and get involved in shaping the future
development of local places and communities through the Local
Development Framework, amongst many other things.
Use the links below to find out more about the
services that come under planning. Alternatively use the
navigation menu on the left to explore more options.
As well as the information on this website you may wish
to look at the Planning Portal. The Planning Portal is funded
by the UK government and is their online resource for planning and
building control and is a great source of planning related
information. You can also submit your planning application
online through the Planning Portal which cuts out the need for many
paper copies and costly postage.

The Peak District National Park is the planning authority for
all applications for the easternmost part of Cheshire East
including the parishes of Wincle, Macclesfield Forest and
Wildboarclough, part of the village of Rainow and parts of the
parishes of Bosley, Lyme Handley and Kettleshulme. Check the
map of the Peak District National Park to see if your property
is in that area.
