Submission of Searches to the Local Authority

Full Local Authority Searches:

The Council will require all of the appropriate forms, ordnance survey map and payment to be submitted to allow a search to be processed.

Con29 "Selectable Enquiries

• The  Con29 procedure (PDF, 44KB) outlines the process for requesting Con29 enquiries which are either not statutory registers or publically available documents.
• The template (PDF, 20KB)  is provided as a quick ticklist that can be submitted with your Con29 forms, Ordnance survey map and payment.

Turnaround Times

We expect to return search enquiries within 2 to 5 working days and have therefore published our turnaround time for our service as 5 working days *.

This is because the Council currently holds its data sets in 3 different formats and to enable us to complete some search enquiries via the retrieval of manual recods we may need to use the full 5 days to aid the production of a search response.

It is the Councils intention in the future to ensure that all of these manual records are captured in electronic form, which will aid improvements to our overall service delivery.
