Pest Control
There are plenty of good reasons why you might want to rid your
home of pests. They can be a nuisance, damage your home, or
even endanger your health and safety.
If you are a resident within the Cheshire East Council area
we can help you on issues related to common pests. As a
starting point you may wish to find out more information about a
pest and use this information to decide if you can treat the
problem yourself or if you need specialist advice or treatment to
be carried out be the Council's Pest Control team.
Treatment Availability
The pest control service for Cheshire East is in the process of
being reviewed. As a consequence, it has been agreed that
existing service arrangements for the three historical authorities
of Congleton, Crewe and Nantwich and Macclesfield will continue in
the short term. As the three authorities have very
different services the following table indicates which pest
treatments are available in each area and the cost of the
service. Once review arrangements are determined this web
page will be updated to reflect details of the new Cheshire East
Council Pest Control service.

Concessions
Householders in receipt of specific
income related benefits may be entitled to concessionary
fees and charges for wasp treatment. Please raise this issue
directly with the pest control service when you are booking your
treatment.
