Cheshire East Council employs its own Pest Control Officers
(we do not sub-contract) and we can help you on many issues related
to common pests.

Pest Control Contracts
Cheshire East Council offers a competitive pest control contract
service for commercial premises. If you are interested in setting
up a contract then please see our Pest
Control Contracts Page and an officer will be in touch to
discuss your requirements.
DIY Treatments
Common household pests can now be treated with
products available from hardware stores, garden centres etc. If you
decide to treat your own home, make sure the correct product is
used and take care to
- Follow the manufacturers instructions.
- Wash your hands after using any product.
- Remove or cover food if treating in the kitchen or food
preparation area.
- Keep children and pets away during the treatment of areas.
- Store chemicals out of the reach of children and pets.
- Think "safety" when working at heights and with chemicals and
confined spaces

Cheshire East Council provides an in-house pest control service
covering a wide range of pest species. The table below
details the pest control services that are available and their
respective costs. In order to reduce administration
costs and therefore keep treatment costs competitive, advance
payment is preferred and the service is able to process
payments over the telephone for debit and credit cards at the time
of your call.
Where an individual (normally a business or a landlord)
wishes to be invoiced for a pest control treatment following the
treatment itself, an additional administration charge is added to
the basic cost. For 2013-2014 this is £15.00.
