There are plenty of good reasons why you might want to rid your
home of pests. They can be a nuisance, damage your home, or
even endanger your health and safety.
If you are a resident within the Cheshire East Council area
we can help you on issues related to common pests. As a
starting point you may wish to find out more information about a
pest and use this information to decide if you can treat the
problem yourself or if you need specialist advice or treatment to
be carried out by the Council's Pest Control Team.
Treatment Availability
The pest control service for Cheshire East has recently
been reviewed and a decision made to continue to provide a
traditional pest control service across the whole of the
Borough. The table below details the pest control services
that are available and their respective costs.
Payment is taken in advance of any treatment.

DIY Treatments
Common household pests can now be treated with
products available from hardware stores, garden centres etc. If you
decide to treat your own home, make sure the correct product is
used and take care to
- Follow the manufacturers instructions.
- Wash your hands after using any product.
- Remove or cover food if treating in the kitchen or food
preparation area.
- Keep children and pets away during the treatment of areas.
- Store chemicals out of the reach of children and pets.
- Think "safety" when working at heights and with chemicals and
confined spaces
