the 1st of April 2009 through the amalgamation of Congleton, Crewe
and Nantwich, and Macclesfield Borough Councils and part of
Cheshire County Council. Some systems have not yet merged so
to view information prior to the 1st of April 2009 it is
necessary to view the information from each legacy Council.

Commenting on planning applications
Data Protection Act 1998
Cheshire East Council has a statutory requirement under the Town
and Country Planning Acts to maintain a public register of planning
applications. Information from the register is used in
answering queries about planning history including searches of the
Local Land Charge Register.
Any representation on planning applications will be retained as
part of that register. The register consists of the
application form, accompanying plans and drawings, consultation
responses and the decision. The register is made available to
anyone who wishes to view it.
