Elective Home Education
The Home Education section provides information, links and
answers questions on educating a child at home.
Parents and carers have a legal duty to ensure their child
receives a adequate fulltime education, but this does not have to
be in a school. A suitable education should prepare a child for
life in a modern society and encourage them to reach their full
potential, although there is no law or rule about what a suitable
education might be.
The Educating at Home Team provide information and leaflets
giving a wide range of information on Home Education.
