Sub Committee meeting of 6th March :-
"That the expansion of Oakefield Primary and
Nursery School, Crewe from 315 school places to 420 with a proposed
implementation date of January 2013 be approved without
conditions"

January 2012
Following the
decision of 22 December by the Council's Cabinet Member with
responsibility for Children and Families Services, a notice is
now published of the Council's proposal to enlarge Oakefield
Primary and Nursery School, Crewe, which if approved will see the
school expand from its current capacity of 315 pupil
places to 420 with an implementation date of January
2013.
Public Notice Representation Period
The four week representation period commenced on
Wednesday 18 January 2012 and closed on
Wednesday 15 February 2012. During this period
interested parties were invited to send comments
in support of the proposal or to oppose it.

All representations will be collated and presented in a report
to the Council's Cabinet before a final decision will be made on
the proposal.
December 2011
Decision made to publish statutory notices on the proposed
expansion of Oakefield Primary and Nursery School.

November 2011
At the meeting of the Cabinet Member for Children and Family
Services held on Monday 14th November 2011, a report was presented
requesting permission to proceed with formal consultation on
a proposed expansion of Oakefield Primary and
Nursery School, Crewe. Currently, the school has a capacity of
315, and a published admission number (PAN) of 45. If approved, the
proposed extension will increase the capacity to 420,
and the PAN to 60.

Consultation Documents and Feedback
The formal consultation on the proposed expansion of
Oakefield Primary and Nursery School has now closed.
