Summer Term 2010 Governors' Forum
The Governors' Forum is a termly partnership
meeting between Cheshire East Council, Children and Family
Services, and the
CEAGB
,
(Cheshire East Association of Governing Bodies) to which all
governors are welcome, regardless of whether they are members of
the
CEAGB
or
their school purchases support from the school governance service,
and is free of charge.
CEAGB
executive committee members and Local Authority officers attend the
forum to update governors on current issues, nationally and
locally.
The Summer 2010 Governors' Forum took place on
Wednesday 23rd June 2010 at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive
School.
Ruth Jenkins, Redesign Programme Manager for
Cheshire East Children and Family Services, updated governors on
the Children's Services Redesign Programme in Cheshire East and
offered to arrange to meet governors and Headteachers to discuss
proposals in more detail. She discussed the most recent
Redesign Newsletter (PDF,

Fintan Bradley, Services Manager, Improvement and
Achievement, gave a presentation on the Formula Funding Working Party
(PDF, 134KB) and proposed changes to the funding formula
for schools.
Andy Kent, Liaison Manager, Schools, Settings and
Services, gave a presentation on the changing education landscape
(PDF, 193KB) including an update on the Academies Bill.
