Authority Governor Appointments
The process for appointing Authority Governors to school and
academy Governing Bodies was revised by the Council's Constitution
Committee on 24th March 2011.

Authority Governors are those governors
appointed by the Local Authority. The elected members'
appointments panel meets at least termly.
Authority Governors are not required to have a particular
political affiliation. If you are interested in becoming an
Authority Governor please review the requirements detailed in the
procedure above and then complete an Authority Governor application form
(MS Word,131KB) and email it to schoolgovernance@cheshireeast.gov.uk.
The next three meetings of the panel will take place
on:
- Friday 25 May 2012
- Friday 19 October 2012
- Friday 1 February 2013
Nominations to be considered at the next meeting
should be received by the School Governance Team by Monday
14 May 2012.
