In-Year Admissions

Applications for school places ‘in year’ are for admission after the first day of the school year into the relevant age group* or into any other year group.

*The relevant age group includes reception class admissions for children admitted to a primary school for the first time in September as 'rising fives' and pupils transferring to secondary into the year 7 class.  Children are normally admitted to the reception class in the September of the academic year in which they reach the age of five.
