Adult Learners' Week
2012
Adult Learners’ Week (ALW) is an annual event that takes place
every May. It will be taking place this year from the 12th to the
18th May
Cheshire East Lifelong Learning commission local organisations
to offer new and exciting learning opportunities to their
communities whilst marketing the learning they deliver outside the
event.
Each year hundreds of events are held
across the country to celebrate Adult Learners’
Week. There different themes to give you ideas for your
activities. National and local events throughout the week include
Cultural Diversity Weekend (12 – 13 May), Learning at Work Day (17
May), and Digital Day, which complements Silver Surfers' Day
(18th May).
Organise your own Adult Learners' Week events using the free
resources from the Adult Learners' Week Website You can also
access wider activities via the National Adult Learners Week Website.
What events are taking place
Please note that you may need to book in advance for these
events. To find out more information or to book a ticket
please contact the library holding the event.
