Mission Statement

To enable people to develop new and emerging skills, to progress at work, at home  and at leisure, to create an aspirational and encouraging environment in order to enrich lives, communities and the economy of the Borough of East Cheshire.

Purpose

We are a unified Lifelong Learning service, bringing together Adult and Community Learning, Family Learning and Parenting. We seek to develop active partnership with other agencies, organisations and deliverers so that access to a broad range of learning opportunities is available to people across Cheshire East.

Adult, Community and Family Learning forms a vital part of the Government’s drive to widen participation, build communities’ self confidence and capacity and to promote good citizenship and personal development. This wide breadth of purpose sits alongside an important role in providing first steps learning, helping people on to the route to improved skills and employment.
