Team offers specialist housing advice whether you are a tenant
of a housing association, in a private tenancy, a homeowner or if
you are just looking for a home in Cheshire East. You can
also use the QuickCal Tool to
help you to work out if you should claim Housing Benefit or Council
Tax Benefit

- The Disability
Living Foundation (PDF, 195KB) has produced a leaflet for
you if you have a disability and are pregnant or have a small
child, with information about items available that may be able
to help you take care of your child. This leaflet provides a
guide to these items and details of other organisations that might
be able to help.
- Are you concerned about your child's speech and language
skills?
Talking Point is a website contains everything you
need to know about supporting children’s speech and language
development. Using the new Progress Checker you can
identify if a child is having difficulties and then
find out what you need to do. You can also search for your nearest
speech and language therapy services.
- Mums in Cheshire East are being reminded that they are free to
breastfeed in all council-run buildings.
- Information on
why your child’s weight matters and the MEND programme.
- Asthma UK is the charity
dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the 5.4 million
people in the UK whose lives are affected by asthma.
- Getting a good night’s sleep (PDF,
1.30MB) is important for both adults and children. If you
have concerns about your child’s sleeping habits, you might find
this booklet useful. It was developed by the Early Support
programme in partnership with a number of organisations and
individuals, including: Scope (Sleep Solutions), Face 2 Face
parents groups, and the Handsel Trust.
