Clubmark is the only national cross sports quality accreditation
scheme for clubs with junior sections. It is built around a set of
core criteria which ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set
of consistent, accepted and adopted minimum operating
standards. Sport England
recognises and values the commitment made by sports clubs to
develop high quality, welcoming environments for young
participants. The development of clubs that encourage young people
to take-up sport, improve their talents and give them the option to
initiate and maintain life-long participation in sport is an
essential part of our work to support the sporting infrastructure

Bookstart 20 and the Bookstart Pledge
- 2012 is the 20th anniversary of Bookstart
(PDF, 492KB) and it will be celebrated with events and
activities throughout the year.
Family Fun
- A new wellbeing group for young mums from ethnic minority communities
(PDF, 246KB) is now running in Crewe.
- Parasport has been designed to
inspire, educate, inform and signpost disabled people, and those
interested in disability sport, to high quality
opportunities.
- The Change4Life
Programme has lots of family fun activities to get the whole
family moving more and enjoying a more active lifestyle.
Cheshire East's Summer Music School
Cheshire East is running a Summer Music School between 30th
July and 1st August 2012. The course is offered to all
Cheshire East primary school children who are currently
participating in the Wider Opportunities programme in school, and
will cost £30.00 for the whole three days. You can book a place for
your child by filling out the Summer

Sport & Physical Activity Survey - Cheshire East's
Leisure and Play Development in partnership with the Community
Sport and Physical Activity Network wish to use the information
from this survey to assist in the development of a new Sport and
Physical activity Strategy. Completing this short survey will take
no more than 10 minutes and will help inform the CSPAN of local
area priorities.

local activities that suits their interests.

DirectGov has a three week scheme that year 11s
in England can attend from June to August. The National
Citizenship Service (external link) aims to
teach kids new skills, meet new people and try activities such as
trekking, climbing and rafting. Plus kids get a certificate signed
by the Prime Minister.
