Education Library Service
The purpose of the Education Library Service is to provide
learning materials to schools and advise on their most effective
use in order to support the needs of teachers and help them deliver
the curriculum effectively to all pupils.
ELS has a team of professional librarians who share a
profound knowledge of the wide range of materials available to
teachers. They have the experience and insight to compile resource
packs tailored to your needs.
The ELS package of services has been devised to support your
school library and give you the flexibility you need. Materials are
available as and when you need them, subject to demand. The process
of selection and ordering is simple and specialist advice is always
available. Teachers can concentrate on their job confident that
they have the power of a professional team behind them.
We go out of our way to ensure the ELS service is available to
teachers when they need it most. The service is tailored to work
within the demanding time schedules faced by teachers. Delivery and
collection is regular, reliable and consistent as befits a truly
professional organisation.
From our central base in Winsford (PDF, 56KB)
we are well located both to receive visitors and distribute
resources to all subscribing schools. The showroom is open
throughout the year, has ample parking, is fully accessible and our
staff can assist you in the selection process. Visitors are
most welcome and we strongly recommend a visit so you can fully
appreciate the scale of what ELS has to offer. Please telephone to
make an appointment. You can also visit the Education
Library Service pages of the Cheshire
Connected Learning Community CCLC.
