Where To Get Help
A child or young
person may have special educational needs if they have difficulties
in one or more of the following areas:
- learning (e.g. reading or maths problems, severe learning
difficulties)
- communication (e.g. speech and language difficulties,
autism)
- behaviour (e.g. emotional difficulties)
- sensory or physical capability (e.g. hearing impairment,
cerebral palsy).
Cheshire East Council vision for Special Educational Needs and
Disabilities is:
“To work together to ensure all children have a fair
start in life”
It is our aim to work with a range of service providers to
ensure that no child or young person is left behind and that every
child and young person receives the support they need to lead
successful lives.
If your child has not yet started school

Intervention and Special Educational Needs.
