ContactPoint and the Common
Assessment Framework (CAF)
The Common Assessment Framework
(CAF) and ContactPoint are key components of the Every Child
Matters Agenda.
CAF can be used by staff across all
agencies to assess a child’s needs at the earliest opportunity and
enable them to work together more effectively to deliver
support.
ContactPoint is a national database
which will help staff identify other practitioners who are working
with a child so that they can contact them to share
information.
Information and guidance
