What is a Children’s Centre?
A Children’s Centre is a fantastic community resource that
provides a range of services to support you and your family.
As a team they strive to improve the quality of life for every
child and their parents by offering advice and support with issues
such as early education, childcare, health and family advice. The
atmosphere in the Centre is welcoming, the team friendly and all
enquiries are dealt with discreetly and with integrity; remember
they’re there to help you!
How does it work?
Each Centre has access to a whole range of professionals
including health visitors, midwives, family support workers and
early year’s practitioners. They will work closely with you,
identifying your needs so that the advice and support is specific
to you.
How will I find my local Children’s Centre?
There are 19 Children’s Centres across the whole of Cheshire
East, so there’ll be one in or near to your area. You can
find out where your nearest one is by going to the Children's Centres
page or call the Family
Information Service free on 0800 408 2013.
We want parents and carers to feel respected and valued for the
role that they play in the development of their child’s life. We’ll
work with you to find out what help and advice you may need as
early as possible and will put the right level of support in place.
We will make also sure that access to all of the services is made
as easy as possible.
