Cheshire East Childminding Partnership
Introduction
By registering as a childminder you will automatically become a
member of your local childminding Partnership linked to a
Children’s Centre. This web page provides details of your
Early Years Childminding Network Co-ordinator who is available to
offer advice and support along with information on drop in
sessions, newsletters and much more.
Every Local Authority has a commitment to support their
childminders by establishing a Partnership of quality registered
childminders. The aim of the Partnership is to embed the
principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage;
'To develop the quality of childminding so that every
child has the opportunity to the best possible start in life.
Providing a place where children can reach their full potential in
a safe and secure environment'
If you would like to become a childminder please contact

I Can Challenge
The photographs on our webpage were taken during the I can
chatterbox challenge attempt the record for the largest game of
head shoulders knees and toys. The challenge recognises the
need to support children to develop their speaking and listening
skills and to support children with communication difficulties, we
hope you like the pictures!
Categorisation
Registering will give childminders access to a quality
improvement pathway, which gives them entry at different levels to
support their needs. There are three levels to which you need to
identify your setting; each level states the criteria that you will
be expected to meet before moving on to the next level. The
Childminder Network Quality Improvement Support Programme gives
full details on the Levels
of Categorisation (PDF, 883KB).
If childminders wish to draw down the flexible funding
entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds, this tiered approach will ensure
there is the support to enable them to do this.
