About Poynton Children's Centre

Poynton Children's Centre is located within the heart of the community of Poynton and reaches out as far as Disley and Adlington. The centre is in easy reach of local public transport and is co-located at Vernon Primary School.

A variety of professionals work within the Poynton Children's Centre including; midwives, health visitors, family Support Workers, Early Years Workers and other professionals. We also have close links with the local schools, police, job centre and other services.

We run a variety of sessions and groups which can be viewed at the 'Activities at Poynton Children's Centre'. Most recently we have introduced a Breastfeeding Support group, Big Talk, a speech and language targeted course, and Sensory Sessions for children with additional needs. We hope you will come and visit us!

Activities at Poynton Children's Centre

Twins Stay & Play

We run a Stay & Play for Twins every Monday from 1.30 - 3.00pm (term time only).

Breastfeeding Support Group

The ‘Cherubs’ Breastfeeding support Group meet every Thursday 11.30am—1.00pm. It is a weekly ‘drop in’ session for parents and breastfeeding babies. You are welcome to drop in before your baby is born to chat with other mothers for support between sessions, please contact your Health Visitor.

Jolly Tots

Jolly Tots is a Stay and Play session especially for parents and babies from newborn to walking. We meet Fridays (term time only) from 1.30 —3.00pm. Please come along for new activities and experiences, to have fun together, make new friends and enjoy.
