Parish Council Election May 2011

There are 111 civil parish councils in Cheshire East.   Some parish councils are split into wards.

All parish council seats will be open for election, however if the number of seats exceeds the number of people standing for election to the parish council, the existing parish council may choose to appoint the candidates without an election. 

An election will be held if the number of candidates is greater than the number of seats on the council.

The election will be held at the same time as the election for councillors for Cheshire East Council.

The votes for the Parish council elections will be counted on Saturday 7th of May 2011 and the results are likely to be posted later that day.
