Phone Scam
Kent Trading Standards is warning of a phone scam in which people are told they have not paid the correct amount of council tax. Residents have been called by someone pretending to work either for Kent County Council or a borough council.
Those answering are told they have either paid too much council tax, and are entitled to a rebate, or not enough. Do not give out your bank or card details if you receive a call.
