Egress Switch secure emails

Egress Switch is a secure way to send emails. We send sensitive data securely to protect your data. It’s easy to set up and free to use, just follow the instructions on the email.

When an email is sent to you via Egress you will receive an email which states:

‘This email has been sent to you by a contact at Cheshire East Council... click to read the secure email online’.

You will only see the name of the person who sent the email and the subject heading. Here is an example of what you would receive:

email-example

When you receive the email you need to click on the link. This will take you to a web page that looks like this:

egress-log-in-register

On this page you can either sign in if you already have an Egress account or you can register for free. To create an account just enter your details.

egress-sign-up-form

Once you have an Egress account you will be able to see the full email content and reply if necessary.
