The Autumn 2009 edition of Cheshire East News has been
published. The cover story is the unveiling of the first new-build
school in Cheshire East - the £21 million Sir William Stanier
Community School in Crewe.
The 16-page publication also includes:
- The latest help the Council has given to the community in the
recession
- A double-page spread on new neighbourhood-working in your
area
- A celebration of six Green Flag parks across Cheshire East
- News on tourism, social care and highways
- Two pages of what's on information
- News and information from Cheshire Fire & Rescue and the
Central and Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust.

Cheshire East News will be delivered door-to-door by the Royal
Mail from Monday 26th October. 170,000 copies are distributed to
homes and businesses across the Cheshire East area. If you have not
received your copy by 13th November, notwithstanding possible
disruption to deliveries by any postal strike, please contact us at

Copies will also be available to pick up from Council
buildings
Cheshire East News is published three times a year - in Spring
(March), Summer (July) and Autumn (November) by Cheshire East

The winner of the reader survey prize draw in the Summer 2009
Cheshire East News is Debbie Strong of Middlewich, who won £500 in
vouchers.
Local Government Association research recommends that all
councils publish a regular newsletter to keep residents informed,
communicating directly to their doorsteps and delivering messages
and statutory information cost effectively.
