The Youth Mayor
In a first for the north west, Cheshire
East Council has a Youth Mayor, 15 year old Chris Edwards.
The Youth Mayor works in the interest of Cheshire East’s younger
residents. His role is to bridge the gap between youth councils and
Cheshire East Council and improve the image of young people. The
Youth Mayor participates in various activities with the Mayor, and
his two deputies, Jack Victor and Gareth Ikin, to achieve these
aims.
The Youth Mayor welcomes invitations to youth and child-related
events held by organisations in Cheshire East. He may be unable to
attend events during school hours in term-time. We will contact you
if the Youth Mayor, or one of his two deputies, are available.
If you would like to invite the Youth Mayor to your event,
please complete our online
Youth Mayor request form.
