Anniversary Messages
Her Majesty The Queen may be requested to send a congratulatory
message to couples who reach their diamond (60th), 65th and 70th
wedding anniversaries, and every year thereafter. Applications
should be made to Buckingham Palace, enclosing a photocopy of the
couple’s marriage certificate, no sooner than three weeks before
the anniversary. It is also possible to receive a belated message
up to six months after the event.

Birthday Messages
Her Majesty may also be requested to send a congratulatory
message to individuals on reaching their 100th and 105th birthdays,
and every year thereafter. Notification of these birthdays is
usually handled automatically by the Department of Work and
Pensions but applications can be made on a personal basis,
enclosing a photocopy of the celebrant’s birth certificate. It is
also possible to receive a belated message up to six months after
the event.
